A country not visited by anyone who doesn’t have to go for business, Pakistan is a heritage rich nation at the crossroads between its rich but bloody past and its current destructive present. If you do get to go you are likely the only tourist on the plane, just as I was. The Himalayan mountains to the north, the rugged raw landscapes and the Mughal palaces and forts are a sight to behold in equal measure. Its people, truly hospitable and welcoming, will warm your heart and remind you that, people are people everywhere, no matter how demonised the media makes them look.
